The national emblem is the Hornbill bird. The two hornbills depicted as stately and dignified, for loyalty and honour so proudly pose Symbolising ZOMI.

The Hornbill bird is much respected and honoured by the Zo people for whom it symbolizes a noble and beautiful life characterized by love and faithfulness. Thus, on important occasions, the Zo people, male and female, young or old proudly stick a Hornbill feather on their headgear.
